Kokomo man seriously injured in motorcycle crash
KOKOMO, Ind. — A Kokomo man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on Friday.

According to the Kokomo Police Department, at approximately 6:02 p.m., an adult male was driving on Morgan Street, approaching Delphos Street, when he reportedly applied his rear brake for an unknown reason and lost control of his 1997 Harley Davidson

After hitting the brake, the motorist was ejected from the motorcycle. Per KPD, the driver was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

When officers arrived at the crash scene, they found the driver unconscious and suffering from life-threatening injuries. The driver was transported to Indianapolis via a medical helicopter for treatment.

As of 8:28 a.m. on Saturday, the case was still under investigation by KPD. Investigators are awaiting toxicology results to determine drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
