Fatal car crash in Terrebonne Parish

TERREBONNE PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A man was killed Friday, July 4 in a car crash in Terrebonne Parish.

According to Louisiana State Police, 76-year-old James McCleary of Morgan City was traveling west on Highway 182 when his vehicle ran off the road, struck a tree and became partially submerged in a nearby waterway.

LSP official said McCleary sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.

The crash remains under investigation.
