Crash causing ‘heavy delays’ on I-80, UDOT says

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — One lane of Eastbound I-80 is now open. Drivers can expect delays through the area or use SR-201 as an alternate.

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A crash has occurred on I-80 in Salt Lake City, causing heavy delays in the area, according to the Utah Dept. of Transportation.

The crash occurred on Westbound I-80 at Milepost 111, at approximately 7200 W in Salt Lake City. Westbound traffic is reportedly using the shoulder at this time.

Eastbound I-80 is closed, according to UDOT Traffic. Traffic is using SR-201 as an alternate.

“Plan for heavy delays between Tooele and SLC,” UDOT Traffic posted on X.

ABC4 has reached out to authorities for more information and is awaiting a response.
