2 shot, 1 killed in near NE side shooting

INDIANAPOLIS – An investigation is underway after one person was killed and another was injured in a shooting on Indy’s near northeast side Sunday morning.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just before 1 a.m., officers were called to the 1800 block of Roosevelt Avenue on the report of a person shot.

When officers arrived, they located two individuals with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. One person died from their injuries, the second was reported to be stable, according to police.

No additional information was released. The incident remains under investigation.
