2 injured in shooting on east side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS — An investigation is underway after two people were injured in a shooting on Indy’s east side Saturday morning.

According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just before 3 a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Peach Tree Lane on a report of a person shot.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located two people who had been shot. The victims were transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

Police have not yet provided any additional information on the incident. IMPD has indicated that it is still actively investigation the shooting.
