Suspected DUI driver crashes stolen vehicle into Fresno home, police say
FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A suspected DUI driver was arrested Thursday night after police say he crashed a stolen vehicle into a Fresno home.

Just before 9 p.m., officers received a report of a stolen vehicle. They located the driver, later identified as 30-year-old Lajazz Smith, in the area of Parkway Drive and Highway 99 and attempted a traffic stop, but he fled.

Air support tracked the vehicle to the intersection of Fresno and Gettysburg avenues, where police say Smith crashed into a motorist before crashing into a nearby home.

No one inside the home was injured, and the occupants inside the vehicle suffered minor injuries.

Police say Smith was arrested on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle and DUI.
