Prince William County animal control goes on wild goose chase to catch injured goose

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Prince William County Animal Services Bureau said its officers went on a wild goose chase Wednesday.

Animal control officers received a report about an injured goose. When they arrived, they saw a goose that had gotten its leg tangled in a fishing line.

The entanglement could have caused a severe injury, according to the county’s animal services.

The officers embarked on a wild goose chase to pin down the goose and untangle the fishing line from its leg.

The goose was successfully captured and was released back into the wild after receiving treatment.

“Just another day’s work—well done!” The Prince William County Animal Services Bureau said.
