Mr. X makes a comeback in Louisiana Wrestling Alliance ring

LAFAYETTE, LA (KLFY) — KLFY account executive and Television personality Bob Moore will tag team with Zane Houge (AKA Adam Zane) against the original grappler and Masked Grappler III July 12 at Louisiana Wrestling Alliance’s Geaux 4 Gold Event.

But this is not Moore’s first venture into the squared circle.

In the late 90s, he did some ring announcing for Mid-South Wrestling.

“One thing led to another. Joey Comeaux was on the card, Gorgeous Joey Jackson, and we got to talking, and he said, You like this? I said, Yes. So I announced a couple of more matches, and then the next thing you know, I’m at a wrestling school,” Moore said.

When Moore got into wrestling, he had to keep it a secret.

“Back then, you couldn’t let it be known that I was a wrestler, so I had to go with a mask,” Moore explained. “So I became Mr. X and have to arrive very early. I had to keep the mask on all the time in the dressing room, and whenever we’d have some new wrestlers come in or something, they would say, ‘Wow, You know, why do you why you wear you hood back here in the dressing room?’ and say, ‘I work on local TV'”.

Moore’s favorite part of being Mr. X is being a bad guy.

“Almost everyone wants to be the bad guy.” Moore said. “You can get away with so much more. They had to have the crowd yelling at you, even though it’s some things you know, you even enjoy being called. The excitement, the entertainment mixed in with the headlock, the powerbombs, things like that.”

Fast forward to 2025. He surprised everyone when he counted the debut win for Adam Zane.

Zane Hogue did a thing on the Louisiana Wrestling Alliance, and I said, That’s Joey. So he called me and he said, ‘Man, I’ve got an idea.’ I like it. So I got back in touch with him and we one thing led to another. Zane, you know, is training to become a wrestler. We know about the grappler, how he cheats, and everything. So, this just this I want to have Zane’s back. So I got back into it, and I’m back in training for July 12th.” Moore shared.
