Man suspected of DUI drives car into canal in Madera County, CHP says

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man who is suspected of driving under the influence drove his Toyota Corolla into a canal in Madera County Friday, the California Highway Patrol said.

Just after 11 a.m., CHP said a 27-year-old man from Kerman drove his car into a canal on Highway 41, south of Avenue 14.

In photos posted by CHP, the hood of the car can be seen facing down into the canal, as well as damage to the front of the car.

According to officers, the man was driving under the influence. He did not sustain any injuries and no one else was involved.
