Indiana woman dies while hiking near Cumberland Falls, coroner reports

CORBIN, Ky. (FOX 56) — An Indiana woman reportedly suffered a “medical emergency” while hiking near Cumberland Falls in Whitley County on Friday, resulting in her death.

Troopers with Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 11 were dispatched just after 3:45 p.m. on July 4 after being told that a woman had suffered a medical emergency on the Moonbow Trail, according to a news release.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

State police said that Domnesha Scott, 32, of Indiana, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Whitley County Coroner’s Office.

The body was taken to the medical examiner, and an autopsy is pending.
