LENOIR, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Caldwell County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives assisted officers with North Carolina Probation and Parole with a warrantless house search at a Lenoir residence.

During the search, officers discovered drug paraphernalia, nearly 18 grams of fentanyl, a Mossberg .410 shotgun and over $1,000 in cash.

Stacey Joe Sheppard and Cynthia Denise Reid are facing the following charges:

  • Trafficking Opium or Heroin
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
  • Two counts of Probation Violations

Both individuals were taken into custody and placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center. Each received a $30,000 bond for the probation violations and an additional $30,000 bond for the drug trafficking and firearms charges.
