According to Chicago police, while it is unclear exactly where the shooting unfolded, officers were called to Mt. Sinai Hospital just before 2 a.m. Saturday, following a report of multiple walk-in gunshot victims.
Following a preliminary investigation, officers said they believed that the victims were sitting in a parked car in an unknown area when a dark SUV drove past them and someone inside opened fire on their vehicle.
Officers said in total, four men ranging in age from 25 to 33, all suffered gunshot wounds in the shooting. Three of the men were later hospitalized in critical condition, while the fourth was listed in fair condition.
Currently, it is unclear what led to the shooting and officers say no arrests have been made.
An investigation into the shooting is now underway.
It was the second shooting with multiple victims that unfolded overnight. Just hours earlier, in the Back of the Yards, seven people were injured after a gunman opened fire into a crowd.
