Woodbridge father charged after toddler found with drugs in his system

WOODBRIDGE, Va. (DC News Now) — A Woodbridge father was arrested Wednesday after his two-year-old son was found with illegal drugs in his system, according to the Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD).

Police say Rhamirr Ahmad Brown, 35, was charged with child neglect.

According to police, Brown took his son to the hospital for treatment after he had ingested drugs inside a home in the 14600 block of Potomac Branch Drive.

Police say Brown left the hospital before officers arrived and was located shortly after. A search warrant was executed for his home, where several items were seized.

Police say the boy is expected to recover.

Brown is currently being held on a $5,000 unsecured bond as his court date is pending.
