WGN’s Erik Runge takes part in Arby’s ‘Race for the Cheesesteak’ ahead of the NASCAR Chicago Street Race

CHICAGO — High-speed action returns to downtown Chicago this weekend as the NASCAR Chicago Street Race returns for its third year.

The weekend-long event features races, music and plenty of fun for those heading to Grant Park.

Ahad of the race, WGN’s Erik Runge took part in some of the many activities fans will see over the weekend, including a “high-steaks” race of their own, Arby’s “Race for the Cheesesteak.”

The track offers attendees the chance to race big wheels, and some of the racers competing this weekend may even take part in the action.
