VSP cancels alert after 57-year-old woman missing out of Fredericksburg found safe
UPDATE: In an update just after 6 p.m. on July 3, Virginia State Police said Michelle Walton was found safe.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (DC News Now) — Police are asking for the community’s help in locating a 57-year-old woman who was last seen in Fredericksburg Thursday morning.

Virginia State Police issued a critically missing adult alert for Michelle Walton, who was last spotted walking at 100 Caroline St. at around 6:30 a.m. on July 3.

Police described Walton as 5 feet 5 inches tall at around 210 pounds. She was possibly wearing a long-sleeved green shirt with yellow flowers and long maroon scrub pants when she disappeared, according to VSP.

“This disappearance poses a credible threat to their health and safety as determined by the investigating agency,” VSP said, in the alert.

In an update just after 6 p.m. Thursday, VSP said Walton was found safe.
