Shreveport woman allegedly shares explicit private video without consent, arrested

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — A Shreveport woman was arrested for allegedly sharing a non-consensual explicit video of the victim on Instagram.

Shreveport Police Department reported that they arrested Mahogany Washington for an incident that occurred in May 2025.

SPD’s Sex Crimes Unit investigation stated that Washington “reportedly used Instagram to post an explicit video of the victim engaged in a private act, without the victim’s consent.”

The Shreveport Police Department posted via social media, “reminds the public that sharing explicit content without consent is not only unethical but also a criminal offense. Such actions can have serious emotional and legal consequences for everyone involved. We urge all individuals to respect the privacy and dignity of others and to refrain from posting or distributing explicit content online.’
