Nostalgic ‘Back to the Future’ DeLorean attraction pops up in Bossier City

BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The city of Bossier is going back in time – or maybe forward – thanks to a brand-new attraction outside Future Auto Repair.

Right outside the shop, visitors can now find a screen-accurate DeLorean time machine, just like the one from the hit “Back to the Future” film series.

Complete with working lights, music, and sound effects from the movie.

During a recent storm, a photo capturing lightning striking behind the decked-out vehicle was posted online, captivated residents and fans who remember the 1980s hit movie where lightning played a critical role.

The storyline relies heavily on lightning strikes to help the main character, Marty McFly, get back to the year 1985 after being trapped in 1955. The DeLorean, which is the time machine in the film, needs a massive surge of 1.21 gigawatts of electricity to activate time travel.

Doc Brown, the inventor of the machine, realizes that if a lightning bolt strikes the Hill Valley courthouse clock tower at precisely 10:04 PM, it can generate the required power.

A Facebook user quipped, “Be careful. You might end up in 1885.”

Others raving about the beauty of the photo, “That will hands down be the coolest pic.”

The classic film has replicas all over the world, from America to Spain.
