LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A Lafourche Parish employee was fired and arrested Thursday, July 3, for alleged sexual contact with a juvenile.
According to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office, a complaint was filed on June 26 against 26-year-old Luke Vizier, alleging he’d had sexual contact with a juvenile in April 2023, about a year prior to his employment with the LPSO. He reportedly was a correctional officer at the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex in Thibodeaux.
Vizier was placed on administrative leave while the LPSO conducted an investigation. On July 3 investigators said they obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Vizier was booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex. He faces charges of sexual battery and indecent behavior with a juvenile. Bail is set at $150,000.
