Fondren Yard 4th of July Grill Out – Jackson – Friday

  • Celebrate Independence Day in Jackson’s iconic Fondren neighborhood with a full day of food, music, and community fun at Fondren Yard.

Farm Bureau Watermelon Classic – Jackson – Friday

  • A competitive 5K Run, 5K Walk, and a One Mile Fun Run benefitting the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame.

Red, White & Blue Fest – Clinton – Friday

  • Everyone is invited to participate in a fun-filled evening of games and musical entertainment.

Fourth Fest – Gluckstadt – Friday

  • There will be music, inflatables and face painting.

Live at Five on the Fourth – Natchez – Friday

  • There will be music, games and fireworks.

Bicentennial Independence Day Celebration – Vicksburg – Friday

  • Vicksburg is already known for hosting the longest fireworks show in the State of Mississippi every year on the Fourth of July, but for our Bicentennial year we plan on making it bigger and better than ever.

Hurricane Katrina: Mississippi Remembers – Jackson – Friday, Saturday & Sunday

  • Hurricane Katrina: Mississippi Remembers showcases photographs by Vicksburg-based artist Melody Golding, documenting the resilience of Mississippians after the storm.

Access for All: Free First Saturday – Jackson – Saturday

  • The Mississippi Museum of Art offers free admission to exhibitions, drop-in artmaking, and a free guided tour on the first Saturday of every month.

Mississippi Farmers Market – Jackson – Saturday

  • From persimmons to peaches, from bok choy to butter beans, the Mississippi Farmers Market is the one place to go for the freshest fruits and vegetables that are grown in the state.

Natchez Farmer’s Market – Natchez – Saturday

  • Every week there will be live fresh produce, baked goods, fresh dairy, and arts and crafts all from local growers and artists.
