Active-duty personnel, traveling with or without their family members, are encouraged to use the lane marked ‘Active Duty Service Members, Use This Lane,’ which is located at the TSA PreCheck entrance.
“TSA is committed to honoring the service and sacrifice of military families by ensuring their travel is convenient and stress-free,” said TSA Federal Security Director for Austin Kieran Flynn in a press release.
Starting summer 2025, Gold Star families can enroll in TSA PreCheck for free, and spouses of active-duty service members can receive a $25 TSA PreCheck discount.
The TSA Cares program also remains available amidst the new benefits. The program provides personalized assistance to veterans and wounded warriors through the airport screening process.
