‘Whether you sing, dance, juggle, act, or bring something totally unique to the stage, we want you to show us what you’ve got!’
Bayou Star Search is held at Louisiana Tech University’s Ruston campus. The competition, produced by the nonprofit organization Louisiana Delta Ballet, supports the teaching of ballet to young people.
The winner of the competition wins $10,000, second place takes home $3,000, and third place receives $1,000. According to their website, talents include singing, dancing, instrumental music, skits, magic, comedy, and spoken word, with no lip syncing allowed.
Applications are now open and cost $35; registration closes on July 13th at 11:59 p.m.
Applicants will be invited to participate in the August 16 competition and will be notified via phone call, email, and/or mail package following the submission deadline.
