‘Suspect’ shot at the Tule River Indian Reservation in Tulare County

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A person was airlifted after an officer shot them at a Tulare County Indian Reservation on Wednesday afternoon, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies said an officer with the Indian Department of Public Safety shot a “suspect” on the Tule River Indian Reservation grounds on Wednesday at around 4:30 p.m.

The person was airlifted to Fresno. Their status and identity are unknown at this time. No other injuries were reported.

This is an ongoing investigation. More information will be released as it becomes available.
