According to a press release, park rangers will be patrolling throughout the holiday weekend to ensure compliance. Violations may result in fines or other enforcement actions.
“Buffalo National River is a place of peace and natural wonder,” said Angela Boyers,
Superintendent of Buffalo National River. “We ask everyone to help us preserve that by leaving
fireworks at home.”
The release says fireworks are always illegal on National Park Service lands, regardless of weather or season. Many local communities surrounding the park are hosting fireworks displays.
