LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — Officers with the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) are searching for a man who allegedly ran out of his car during a traffic stop, leaving a four-month-old child in the car.

The department posted on Facebook that officers tried to pull over Christopher A. Morris on Wednesday, July 2, for “a simple traffic stop” in Village West.

Officers wrote that Morris allegedly ran out of the car, leaving a four-month-old baby in the back seat.

Emergency personnel took the baby to stay with a grandparent, per Louisville police.

Officers said Morris had multiple felony arrest warrants for charges including:

  • Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
  • Parole violation for a felony offense
  • Harassment with physical contact
  • Two counts of flagrant non-support

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

Morris is also reportedly wanted for child endangerment, the LMPD wrote.
