LaGrange police seeking information on 2009 cold case

LaGRANGE, Ga. (WRBL) — The LaGrange Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced on Wednesday that it was seeking the public’s assistance with solving a 2009 cold case.

According to the police department, detectives are looking to solve the homicide of Jerry Bernard Jones that happened on August 13, 2009 near the intersection of Horace King Street and Lafayette Parkway, under the Horace King bridge.

Detectives with the LaGrange Police Department believes someone in the community could have critical information that could lead to breakthrough in the case and interested in speaking with anyone who may have been in that particular area on August 13, 2009.

Anyone with information on the cold case is encouraged to contact Detective Shaw at 706-883-2620. Information can also be submitted anonymously through Tip411 via the mobile app, online portal, or by texting the keyword LAGRANGE to 847411.
