Investigation underway after fatal ‘boating incident’ in Jefferson Parish
JEFFERSON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A boat operator is dead following an incident in Jefferson Parish on Thursday, July 3.
According to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, agents received a report of a fatality involving a vessel in Marcello Canal.
LDWF officials said investigators recovered the boat operator’s body around 10:30 a.m.

LDWF agents said the investigation is ongoing, and the incident’s cause is unknown at this time. The Jefferson Parish coroner will determine the cause of death.
