Golden Gate Bridge not closed Wednesday, despite Google Maps reportedly showing closure
SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Contrary to what you may have heard, the Golden Gate Bridge insisted Wednesday afternoon that it is very much open. This comes amid apparent reports from some commuters that Google Maps was reportedly showing a closure on the bridge.
According to the Golden Gate Bridge’s official X account, such reports are false, and the bridge is “open to traffic in all directions.”
KRON4.com checked Google Maps and as of around 2:48 p.m., the platform was showing that the bridge was indeed open.
