Written from press release:

PLAINFIELD, Ind. — The 2025 Cops Cycling for Survivors Ride to Remember will launch Monday, July 7, from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in Plainfield, kicking off a 13-day, 1,000-mile journey to honor fallen law enforcement officers across the state.

Now in its 24th year, the annual ride supports the families of officers who died in the line of duty and serves as a tribute to their service and sacrifice. The event is open to the public, and organizers encourage supporters, the media and community members to attend both the opening and closing ceremonies.

The opening ceremony begins at 8 a.m. at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, 5402 Sugar Grove Road. Riders will then begin a two-week trip that winds through all four corners of Indiana—from the shores of Lake Michigan to the banks of the Ohio River—before concluding in Indianapolis on July 19. The closing ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery in the Heroes of Public Safety section.

This year’s ride will honor four officers who died in the line of duty:

  • Deputy Sheriff Fred Fislar, Hendricks County (End of Watch: April 16, 2024)
  • Corporal Brandon Schreiber, Newton County Sheriff’s Office (End of Watch: Sept. 11, 2024)
  • Lt. Donald Neiswinger Jr., Indiana Department of Correction (End of Watch: Jan. 18, 2022)
  • Correctional Officer Shawn Burnell, Indiana DOC (End of Watch: Oct. 18, 2020)

The full ride schedule includes stops in Terre Haute, Kentland, Merrillville, Mishawaka, Angola, Bluffton, Richmond, Madison, Jeffersonville, Jasper, Vincennes and Bloomington.
