Weekend watchlist: Netflix and chill with ‘KPop Demon Hunters’

SHREVEPORT, LA. (KTAL/KMSS) — Sundays are a day for brunch, relaxation, and time for a weekly recharge but what are some good movies to help you relax from the comfort of your own home?

For today’s movie spotlight, ‘KPop Demon Hunters‘ made this week’s list. The film, directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, follows a world-renowned K-pop girl group that secretly battles demons on the side. Since being released on Netflix, the genre-blending movie has shot to the top of the streamer’s most-watched list and won over KPop skeptics.

One Facebook user commented on the series, saying, “The film also felt very Korean, but still totally welcoming to people who might not know much about Korean culture and just want an entertaining, stylish movie.”

The film features collaborations with real K-pop producers, including Teddy Park, who has worked with K-Pop girl group Blackpink, and Grammy winner Lindgren, who’s worked with groups including BTS and Twice. T
