Police: Woman stole more than $51k of merchandise from Pennsylvania, Ohio Kohl’s stores

(WHTM) — A woman connected to a crime group allegedly stole more than $51,000 worth of merchandise from Kohl’s stores in Pennsylvania and Ohio, police say.

Macedonia Police Department wrote in a Monday post on Facebook, during a “Theft Deterrent Detail,” officers were made aware by Kohl’s about the woman who was inside one of the department stores. She was not identified in the post.

Officers spotted her vehicle in the parking lot, police wrote, and then she was also seen inside the store going through items and closely watching other shoppers.

Police were able to identify who she was and learned she had multiple warrants for her arrest for thefts at other department stores, police wrote.

She soon left the store without taking anything, but was taken into custody after a traffic stop.

While searching her vehicle, the post said, around $1,500 worth of stolen merchandise was found in her back seat. Police also discovered she was allegedly linked to numerous thefts in 2024 that happened in Pennsylvania and Ohio
