COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Sgt. Jane Edenfield spoke with WRBL News 3’s Teresa Whitaker and provided some extra insight about fraud incidents and what to be aware of when it comes to bank text scams.
Edenfield advises the public to be on the lookout for text messages of those pretending to be the bank and prompting individuals to click on links, which could cause personal information or sensitive data to be leaked.
The sergeant provides key tips on how to approach these scamming messages to prevent sensitive information to be leaked into the wrong hands.
