According to the SWEPCO power outage map, the power outage is concentrated in the Hyde Park, Brookwood, and Southern Hills neighborhoods and extends towards Sunset Acres.
SWEPCO’s map details that the cause was due to an ’emergency equipment issue’ and SWEPCO crews are working on the site to “quickly and safely restore power. The Estimated time of Restoration is currently 1:20 PM.”
However, residents in the ‘red zone’ overlapping the ‘orange zone’ state that the power outage map estimated restoration times are around 4 P.M.
SWEPCO was contacted for a comment, but they were unavailable to provide a response.
