Corey Garrett is bringing more than two decades of experience to the Razorbacks. Coach Garrett coached the girls at Earle High School to a 221-67 record and two state championships while also serving as an assistant coach on four state championship boys teams. He also has national experience with the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League, USA Basketball, and the NCAA Basketball Academy.
Coach Garrett was on the USA Basketball staff that won the 2023 15U National Championship and has developed 11 scholarship athletes, including five Division I players.
Superintendent Dr. Lloyd Jackson said, “We are excited to welcome Coach Garrett to Arkansas High. His commitment to excellence, ability to develop talent, and dedication to student-athletes will be a tremendous asset to our basketball program and the entire school community.”
Coach Garret brings education along with his athletic achievements. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Arkansas State University and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
Coach Garrett starts his new role immediately, and he is ready, saying, “I’m honored to lead the Arkansas High School boys’ basketball program. My goal is to build a culture of discipline, growth, and competitiveness—on and off the court. I’m ready to get to work and continue the proud tradition of Razorback basketball.”
