CarmelFest returns for Independence Day celebration

INDIANAPOLIS — Starting Thursday, Central Indiana residents will descend on Carmel for some Independence Day fun.

The CarmelFest event will kick off on Thursday with events from 1-10 p.m. and continue through Friday with events from 12-10 p.m. The annual summer tradition will consist of a parade, live entertainment, shopping, festival food and more.

The schedule for this year’s festivities in Carmel includes:

July 3

• 1 p.m.: Blair & The Fun Factor Band – Carter Green Stage
• 1 p.m.: Cease & Resist – The Gazebo
• 2:45 p.m.: Brett Wiscons & The Benders – The Gazebo
• 3 p.m.: Beatless – Carter Green Stage
• 4:30 p.m.: That’s What She Said! – The Gazebo
• 4:45 p.m.: Phone Club – Carter Green Stage
• 6 p.m.: The Wonderlands – Gazebo Stage
• 6:30 p.m.: Soul Street – Carter Green Stage
