Air Supply will be bringing their 50th Anniversary Celebration to the Paramount Arts Center on Sunday, Aug. 10. Tickets for the show go on sale Thursday, July 3, and those taking the chance to see the show can purchase them through the venue’s website,
According to the Paramount, May 12 marked 50 years since Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock met as part of the Australian touring company of “Jesus Christ Superstar” in 1975 and decided, come what may, to form a musical duo.
Even after half a century, Air Supply’s fans aren’t all out of love for the duo. They’re still touring, and according to the Paramount, they play around 130 performances a year. In the fall of 2024, they marked a major milestone of 5,500 shows. This includes breaking barriers of being the first Western group to be allowed to perform in several countries that had previously not allowed pop music across their borders, such as China, according to the Paramount.
Some of Air Supply’s most popular hits include “Lost in Love,” “All Out of Love,” “Every Woman in the World,” “The One that You Love,” and “Here I Am,” along with “Sweet Dreams” and “Making Love out of Nothing At All.”
