(KRON) — After a brief, months-long stint as BH Wood-Fired Grill, one restaurant in downtown Walnut Creek has abruptly closed. BH Wood-Fired Grill, located at 1521 Mt. Diablo Blvd., announced its closure Monday in a social media post.

The restaurant rebranded as BH Wood-Fired Grill in December 2024. It was previously named “Bounty Hunter” under the same management and had operated in that Mt. Diablo Boulevard space next to Va de Vi since 2019.

“After much thought and reflection, we have made the difficult decision to close BH Wood-Fired Grill in Walnut Creek,” the restaurant wrote in its farewell post on social media. “We are incredibly grateful for the support, loyalty, and memories shared with us over the years. Serving this community has been an honor, and we’re proud of the experiences we’ve created together.”

BH Wood-Fired Grill did not specify its reason for the closure. Neighboring restaurants around it include Rooftop, Va de Vi, Tomatina and Slice House by Tony Gemignani.

Patrons of the Walnut Creek restaurant were being directed towards the original location in Napa, “Bounty Hunter Wine Bar & Smokin’ BBQ.”

BH Wood-Fire Grill is reportedly operated and managed by San Francisco-based Hi Neighbor Hospitality Group. The management company operates seven other restaurants, according to Hi Neighbor Hospitality Group’s website.

“Bounty Hunter” restaurant shut down in fall 2024, according to Yelp.
