Officers were surveilling the wanted suspect in the 1600 block of Brown Avenue on June 25. U.S. Marshals, Rockford officers and K9s were all a part of the operation.
Marshals forcibly entered Taylor-Jones’s residence and took him into custody in one of the bedrooms.
Authorities found cocaine and a loaded handgun that had the serial numbers scratched off.
He is charged with possession of a weapon by a felon, possession of a firearm by a repeat offender, possession of a firearm with defaced serial numbers and manufacturing and delivering cocaine.
Taylor-Jones is lodged in the Winnebago County Jail.
His last court appearance was on June 28.
