Louisiana AG’s Office: Charges filed against prison escapees

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Prosecutors with Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Office filed charges Monday, June 30 against the 10 escapees from the Orleans Parish Justice Center.

According to the Attorney General’s Office, all 10 escapees, including Derrick Groves who is still at large, were formally charged with simple escape.

“Every inmate will now face additional charges for their role in the escape, on top of the charges they were already facing,” Murrill said.
