UPDATE, 9:45 a.m.: All but one lane of northbound I-49 are now open, DOTD said. According to an alert, the left lane remains blocked near Gloria Switch Road.

ORIGINAL STORY: LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — Northbound I-49 is at a standstill in north Lafayette due to an accident, authorities said.

According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, all lanes of northbound I-49 are blocked at Pont des Mouton Road.
