
LISBON, Conn. (WWLP) – An Enfield man was arrested and faces seven charges following a disturbance in Lisbon and a home invasion investigation.
Connecticut State Police shared in a news release that at approximately 7:23 p.m. on Sunday, troopers were called to Kimball Road in Lisbon for a report of a man walking in the roadway and screaming at passing cars. During this time, police received additional reports that the suspect was involved in an altercation at a home involving a firearm.
When arriving in the area, troopers approached the man in the roadway, later identified as 36-year-old Michael Grenier of Enfield, and detained him in handcuffs. Police investigated the private residence on Kimball Road where the altercation allegedly took place.
State Police spoke with the victim at the home and discovered that Grenier allegedly entered the home, assaulted the homeowner, and stole a firearm. Troopers were able to locate the stolen firearm a short distance from the residence where Grenier was first found.
Grenier was arrested and charged with:
- Home Invasion
- Robbery 3rd Degree
- Interfering with an Officer/Resisting
- Breach of Peace 2nd Degree (3 counts)
- Disorderly Conduct
- Stealing a Firearm
- Assault 3rd Degree – Victim Elderly or Other
Grenier was held on a $200,000 bond and was arraigned on Monday at Norwich Superior Court.
