Bensalem police share fourth of July fireworks safety reminders
(WPHL) — As the 4th of July comes up at the end of this week, Bensalem Township Police and Fire Departments have shared safety and compliance reminders to avoid firework hazards.
Fireworks must be used at least 150 feet away from any occupied structure.
Fireworks cannot be used on public property, including streets and parks.
Fireworks are not allowed on private property without the owner’s permission.
Illegal fireworks and unsafe usage will not be tolerated.
A statement from the police department said, “Bensalem Township Fire Inspectors and Police Officers will be out in the community this holiday weekend, actively enforcing all state laws and township ordinances related to fireworks.”
“Let’s keep our neighborhoods safe and our celebrations injury-free. Have a safe and enjoyable Independence Day!” the statement continued.
