ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Northern Illinois communities will be celebrating the Fourth of July this weekend with fireworks, parades, and festivals.

Here’s a list of Fourth of July events in the stateline.

Thursday, July 3

Davis Junction: Fireworks will take place at Community Park, on Lincoln Avenue.

WinnebagoWinnebago High School — Fireworks Thursday night at the athletic field, at 200 E. McNair Road. Parade steps off Friday, July 4.

Friday, July 4

Byron: The Byron Fourth of July fireworks show takes place at the Byron Dragway, with a 20-minute show set to music beginning at 9 p.m. Gates open at 5 p.m. with food vendors and a concession stand.

Beloit:  Riverside Park, at 1160 S. Riverside Drive, will host the Pops on the Rock Concert & Fireworks. The fireworks start after a concert by the Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra. Free.

Cherry Valley: The free fireworks show begins at 9 p.m. at Baumann Park

Durand:  Durand’s fireworks show begins at dusk at Durand High School, 200 W. South St.

Rockford: Downtown. Parade at 5 p.m., live entertainment from 5 to 9 p.m. at City Market Pavilion, live entertainment from 7 to 9 p.m. at Beattie Park Gazebo, fireworks at 9:30 p.m., launched from the Jefferson Street Bridge.

The 2025 Celebration of Freedom fireworks show will also be broadcast live on WTVO-TV and streamed live on MyStateline.com

Saturday, July 5

Amboy: Amboy Depot Museum

Kirkland: Franklin Township Park – Fourth of July celebration begins Thursday, July 3. The three-day festival includes live music, a carnival, a bags tournament, a parade (July 4), and fireworks (July 5). The festival is at Franklin Township Park, one block south of Illinois Route 72.

Rochelle: The festivities include a parade and fireworks to follow at dusk at Atwood Park.

Sunday, July 6

Dixon:  Downtown – There is a carnival and parade that steps off at 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic School. Fireworks follow at Dusk.

Saturday, July 12

Freeport:  Freeport’s Independence Day fireworks display will take place at dusk on Saturday, July 12 as part of the Tutty Baker Festival.
