UPDATE (1:03 p.m.): News 5 has learned more about a plane crash in Elberta.

Someone reported the plane crash to the Elberta Volunteer Fire Department around 9 a.m. Friday.

Officials believe the crash, which involved what appears to be a two-seater Cessna, happened Thursday at 5 p.m. off Gardner Road and County Road 95.

GENERAL LOCATION

No one was found in or outside the plane, but blood was discovered inside the aircraft.

People at the scene theorized that the pilot was taken to a medical facility in Florida.

Officials have been trying to contact the plane’s owner and/or pilot.

The Federal Aviation Administration is expected to arrive Monday since no one was killed, and the aircraft is considered abandoned.

The crash happened this morning around 10 a.m. in a field off Gardner Road.

The plane is upside down in a large field. Paramedics and other first responders are on the scene.

The pilot has not been found.
