CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — State authorities confirmed with Queen City News that a search warrant carried out early Monday morning in Lenoir is directly connected to a recent deadly shooting at the Outlaws Motorcycle Club House in Newton.

At around 4 a.m. on Monday, June 30, agents with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), alongside officers from multiple local agencies, executed a search warrant at the Pagan Club House in Lenoir.

During the operation, authorities said Anthony Lee Card, 53, was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He’s being held at the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $50,000 bond.

This executed raid is part of an ongoing investigation into a violent shooting that occurred just a few weeks ago on June 8 at the Outlaws Motorcycle Club House in Newton. That shooting left one person dead and another critically injured, police said.

The incident in Newton drew a large law enforcement response and remains under investigation by several agencies, including the NC SBI and local police departments.
