MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — There’s a big moment happening in Mecklenburg County government on Monday.
Mike Bryant will officially be sworn in as the new County Manager. The ceremony is set for 11 a.m. Monday, June 30, at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center.
This marks the beginning of a new chapter for the county’s leadership.
As County Manager, Bryant will oversee day-to-day operations across Mecklenburg’s departments and agencies and implement the policies set by the Board of County Commissioners. A number of those commissioners are expected to be in attendance for Monday’s swearing-in, which has prompted a public notice of a potential quorum.
Bryant steps into the role at a time when Mecklenburg County is managing major priorities, including population growth, affordable housing, and infrastructure improvements.
