SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — An elderly woman is dead after a hit-and-run in Shreveport.
The incident happened on Saturday, June 28, when police received a phone call about a deceased person in the 2100 block of Laurel Street. When officers arrived, they located the body of an elderly woman, who was discovered in a nearby parking lot with visible signs of trauma.
Police believe the victim was walking westbound along Laurel Street when she was struck by a vehicle traveling in the same direction. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are treating the case as a hit-and-run and are urging anyone with information to contact them immediately.
