DEER VALLEY, Utah (ABC4) — Deer Valley is expected to bring forth the largest ski resort expansion in history next season, with the addition of seven new chairlifts and over 80 new ski runs, according to a press release from the resort.
“Deer Valley Resort is on track to deliver the largest ski resort expansion in history for the 2025/26 ski season,” the release states. “This winter, Deer Valley will debut seven new chairlifts—including the East Village Express, a 10-passenger gondola linking the new East Village to Park Peak—and more than 80 new ski runs.”
These new additions will mean that since Dec. 2024, the resort will have added 10 new lifts and over 100 new runs. Deer Valley calls this expansion a “defining milestone” in their history.
The expansion is reportedly part of an effort to more than double the resort’s skiable terrain, upgrading infrastructure and reimagining the Snow Park base area.
As a result of these major development plans, construction at Snow Park will not begin this summer or during the 2025/26 ski season.
“With multiple large-scale projects underway, we’re strategically focusing our efforts to ensure success at every step,” said Todd Bennett, President and COO of Deer Valley Resort. “This winter’s terrain expansion—more than doubling our skiable acreage—is a once-in-a-generation transformation, and it deserves our full attention.”
