
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Former Oregon Democratic Rep. Peter DeFazio served more than 35 years in Congress before retiring, making him the longest serving member of Congress in state history.
DeFazio joined Eye on Northwest Politics to discuss the immigration crackdown from the Trump administration and ICE, as well as the United States’ involvement in the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.
Then, since NTSB investigators recently blamed systemic failures for a door plug blowout in the skies over Portland, DeFazio – also an aviation safety advocate – talked about these findings and detailed what this could mean for the future of aviation.
