CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — Investigators are looking into “suspicious” factors that reportedly caused two fires Saturday night and early Sunday morning in Campbellsville.
The Campbellsville Fire Department posted on Facebook that just before 10 p.m. on Saturday, crews were dispatched to Wethington Court in response to reports of a working structure fire.
When firefighters arrived, they reportedly saw heavy smoke and flames on all sides of the building. Crews put out the fire, and no one was hurt.
Just after 1 a.m. on Sunday, crews were sent to the 300 block of Lowell Avenue in response to reports of another working structure fire.
Crews said that when they arrived, smoke and flames could be seen coming from the upstairs area of a building.
Department officials said that while there were no injuries in either fire, their causes were “suspicious in nature,” and an investigation into both fires remains ongoing.
