Written from press release:
INDIANAPOLIS — More than 70 of the nation’s top midget racers will converge on The Dirt Track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway July 1-2 for the highly anticipated BC39
The race honors the late Bryan Clauson, a USAC champion and three-time Indy 500 starter, and consistently attracts elite talent. Past winners include Brady Bacon, Kyle Larson, Buddy Kofoid, Justin Grant, and defending champion Cannon McIntosh. Both Grant and McIntosh are set to compete again this year, aiming to become the first two-time BC39 champions.
Racers from 18 U.S. states and three countries—the U.S., Canada, and England—are entered in the event. The entry list features big names like Kaylee Bryson, Logan Seavey, Kevin Thomas Jr., Justin Grant, and NASCAR veteran J.J. Yeley. A strong Indiana contingent will also be represented, including drivers from Bloomington, Brownsburg, Lafayette, and Columbus.
The action kicks off Tuesday, July 1 with a full night of racing for both USAC midgets and the Stoops Junior Sprint Invitational. Public gates open at 4 p.m., with hot laps beginning at 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. The night will conclude with a 30-lap feature race.
Wednesday, July 2, is Championship Night, featuring another complete race program and culminating in a 39-lap main event with $20,039 awarded to the winner. Gates open at 4 p.m., with a driver autograph session at 4:30 and opening ceremonies at 7 p.m.
Adding a family-friendly element to the event, Owen and Audrey Larson—the children of NASCAR star and 2021 BC39 winner Kyle Larson—are expected to compete in the Junior Sprint race.
Fans attending the event must enter IMS via Gate 10 off 30th Street, as no access will be permitted through Gate 2. After Tuesday night’s feature, fans can enter the track to meet drivers and see the cars up close.
Tickets and more event details are available at IMS.com/BC39. Spectators are encouraged to review the BC39 Plan Ahead Guide for parking, schedule updates, and venue information.
